• On accepting the proposal/quotation, 50% (or as agreed in sub-contract) must be paid up-front before project will be commenced.
  • Quotations includes 2 adjustments of the initial design.
  • Additional changes will be invoiced accordingly
  • Should the briefing requirements change, new designs will be charged for accordingly.
  • Any design work, required outside of the specified guidelines of a project brief/quotation/invoice, will be quoted for accordingly.
  • Image renditions and colour correcting, outside the scope of the quote will be quoted for, and invoiced before such renditions will be made.
  • All proofs & client feedback will be done electronically to ensure optimal clarity in communication.
  • Print-outs of proofs, if required, will be charged at an additional fee.
  • Printing of final designs (such as, but not limited to brochures, flyer’s, business cards, Packaging) will be quoted for accordingly, subject to the requirements of the client.
  • Artwork will be provided in a print ready format (Print Ready PDF), as well as Digital File Formats (Jpeg/PNG)
  • All artwork remains the IP (intellectual property) and is copyright of Inkblott Design. Completed Designs will be handed over in the appropriate file formats as mentioned above, to use as required by the client for promotion and branding of the specific business/brand.
  • No open or original IP design files will be submitted to the client, unless a further agreement is put in place.
  • Inkblott reserves the right to display designs, conceptual or finalised, for Inkblott business promotion purposes.
All content is to be supplied by the client in electronic format, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Images/photographs supplied by client must be of high quality in the correct requested form. Should the client not supply Inkblott Design & Advertising Solutions with the above information in electronic format, our standard hourly rate will be charged in addition to the design fee for drafting (typing) of text or for additional work required in this regard.
IMPORTANT FOR DESIGN: Text and content provided by client shall be used as is.
Inkblott Design does not take responsibility for any copyright infringements caused by materials submitted by the client. We reserve the right to refuse any material of a copyrighted nature unless adequate proof is given of permission to use such material.
The design process can only start once ALL the information / text / or specific images have been supplied by the client. Content changes made after design process has begun will incur additional time and our standard hourly rate will be charged in addition to the design fee quoted.
  • The Client may cancel this Agreement for any reason by providing a minimum of 10 days written notice to Inkblott, any deposit paid prior to cancellation will be non-refundable.
  • Inkblott may cancel this Agreement at any time for any reason by providing written notice to The Client. In the event that Inkblott cancels this Agreement, Inkblott will provide any artwork completed and paid for to date.
Work will be carried out as per an agreed time-line.
Delays in feedback can cause projects to be prolonged for weeks/months/years and thus payment terms is as follows:

  1. An invoice for the full amount is sent out after the quotation is accepted, and a 50% deposit is required from the client before any work is carried out.
  2. The balance is payable on completion of work, but before delivery of the final files.
  3. Should no feedback on the initial artwork (proof 1) be received within 10 days of presenting (done via email), it is assumed that no additional adjustments are required and the artwork is approved. The outstanding balance will be due. And files will be submitted as is in relevant file formats.
  4. Should feedback be received after initial artwork presentation, and subsequent revisions be sent (proof 2 & 3), and no feedback is received within 10 days of presenting the requested adjustments (done via email), it is assumed that no additional adjustments are required and the artwork is approved. Therefore the outstanding balance will be due. And files will be submitted as is in relevant file formats.
  5. Overdue accounts will be handed over and a 30% levy will be charged for recovery fees.
  6. Hosting and Domain Payments: These are strictly payable monthly in advance. If no payment is received within the first 3 days of the month, the website will be blocked, and an additional admin fee will be levied to unblock the account.
We offer a complimentary initial design meeting of 30min. Depending on location of clients, this can be done via Skype or FaceTime. Inkblott Design is an on-line business therefore the majority of our communication is made via email and a client portal, this helps us both parties keep track of specific design requirements & any changes required. If you would like to chat with us on the phone or via Skype we are happy to do so, however we ask that you please email us and make an appointment for a time to chat. Travel for meetings, if required, are charged for per hour rate respectively.

Inkblott Design uses a third party hosting company to host websites, no guarantees can be made as to the availability or interruption of this service by Inkblott Design. Inkblott Design cannot accept liability for losses caused by the unavailability, malfunction or interruption of this service, or for loss of turnover, sales, revenue, profits or indirect, consequential or special loss.
  1. Before going Live (being implemented on web) – The full Invoiced amount must be paid.
  2. SEO friendly URL’s and Meta: The site structure will be developed to ensure SEO friendly URL’s are possible.
  3. Ongoing SEO is Quoted/charged for according to client’s budget and requirements.
  4. The website will be tested in all popular browsers
We make all reasonable effort to avoid errors occurring during the design process. It is up to the client to ensure that content provided is correct. Once the artwork is approved (written approval is required), Inkblott Design will not be held liable for any error and/or omissions.
